FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Direct answers about how the service works and what to expect.

What does the service include?+

Our service includes a full scan of publicly available personal data, identification of listings across major data aggregation platforms, submission of removal requests, verification of results, and a completion report.

How long does it take?+

The process is typically completed within 5 business days, depending on platform processing times.

Is this a subscription?+

No. Shielded Identity is a one-time service. There are no recurring fees or ongoing subscriptions required.

What if I don't have significant exposure?+

Every case includes a full exposure scan and verification process. If no significant exposure is identified, your profile will be rechecked every 6 months for up to 3 years. If new exposure appears, removal actions will be initiated.

What if my information reappears?+

If previously removed listings reappear within 6 months, they are reprocessed at no additional cost. After 6 months, reprocessing is available for a flat $50.

Can you remove everything?+

We focus on publicly accessible data found on people-search and data aggregation platforms. While we significantly reduce exposure, we do not guarantee permanent or complete removal from all sources, as some platforms may republish or update data over time.

How do you protect my data?+

All client information is handled through secure systems and used strictly for the purpose of identifying and removing publicly available data. We do not sell, share, or use your information outside of the service process.

Do I need to do anything after I sign up?+

No. Once you complete your intake, the process is handled for you. You will receive updates and a completion report once your case is finished.

Can I do this myself?+

Yes, but the process can be time-consuming and inconsistent across platforms. Shielded Identity provides a structured and efficient approach to ensure coverage and verification.

What kind of information is typically found?+

Common data includes names, addresses, phone numbers, relatives, and other publicly aggregated information.

When do I pay?+

Payment is made upfront to begin the full exposure scan and removal process.

Is this legal?+

Yes. The service uses official opt-out and removal processes provided by each platform.

Who is this service for?+

This service is designed for individuals who want to reduce their digital footprint and limit public access to personal information.
